Identify, develop, and implement community development projects in Indonesia and Cambodia.
Background
Community development is one of WISE's key approaches to achieving WISE's vision of a more equitable and sustainable Southeast Asia. We work with excludedcommunities who lack access to water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), and/or education. By 'community development', we mean that the community takes ownership of the decisions that affect their lives, where the people's, not WISE's, concerns are centred. We encourage ownership by emphasising active participation and collective action in our projects.
